Petite Pod #001: Childhood Home

Hi, this is Tuesday, your petite virago.

I'm not going to pretend that this podcast will be interesting or entertaining for you. I'm not podcasting for the benefit of my peers. I am not seeking fame. I'm using this podcast as a journal. I've been keeping my paper journal updated since 4th grade. Despite all this, I will never be able to capture all of the memories I have stored up, especially not on paper. Podcasting seems like the natural next step.

Why work so hard to preserve these memories? I dunno. Perhaps an obsession with my own mortality compels me, or perhaps I would like to preserve these memories for the benefit of my unborn grandchildren.

Either way, this journal is going to be personal. You know those nights when you first meet someone you feel an affinity for? You talk about intimate things, share stories from your past.... After sharing, you feel so close to one another, I think because we don’t share these stories with just anyone. In this podcast, I’m not pretending to be anyone but myself. I hope you don't mind.
